Have you looked up and thought, “How is this year already halfway over?”
January-you had goals. Not casual little “that would be nice” goals. Real ones.
You wanted to take better care of your body. You wanted to finally start the thing, finish the thing, write the thing, heal the thing, organize the thing, or stop hiding from the dream that keeps tugging at you.
And then real life happened.
Schedules shifted. Family needed you. Summer got full. Your energy changed. The rhythm you thought you would have in January did not quite match the life you are actually living now.
So here you are, somewhere in the middle of the year, wondering if those goals still matter, if you are behind, or if maybe you should just quietly pretend you never wrote them down in the first place.
Friend, no shame.
This is exactly why we need a midyear reset.
But not the kind where you pull out a planner, write down 43 things, and then feel behind before you even close the page.
This reset starts with a different question:
What still matters?
And then we take it one step deeper:
Who am I becoming as I move toward it?
Before we go any further, I want to give you the fun part.
Inside my free Facebook group, I’m sharing the exact AI prompt from this episode so you can create your own FUTURE YOU magazine cover.
It is designed to help you picture your end-of-2026 self, not as a fantasy version of you, but as a visual reminder of the woman you are becoming and the goals that still matter.
You can grab the prompt inside the group, create your cover, and share it with us so we can cheer you on.

A lot of goal-setting starts with mindset. And yes, mindset matters.
Your thoughts shape your beliefs. Your beliefs shape your actions. Your actions shape the direction of your life.
But sometimes we get stuck before we can even identify the thought.
You know something is off, but you cannot quite name it.
And when someone asks, “What do you want?” your brain suddenly behaves like a toddler in a grocery store. It wanders off, touches everything, and comes back with snacks you did not ask for.
That is why this reset does not begin with pressure.
It begins with clarity.
Not “What should I force myself to do?”
Not “How do I catch up?”
Not “How do I fix everything before December?”
Just this:
What still matters?
This idea came to me while I was reading about Thomas.
Most of us know him as Doubting Thomas, which feels like a pretty rough nickname to carry through history.
But when I slowed down and sat with the story, I felt compassion for him.
Thomas had followed Jesus. He had listened to Him teach. He had watched miracles happen right in front of him.
Then he watched everything fall apart.
So when the disciples told him they had seen the Lord, Thomas said he needed to see the marks in Jesus’ hands before he would believe.
Jesus did say there is blessing for those who believe without seeing. But something else stood out to me.
Jesus still came close.
He invited Thomas to see (Bible Gateway, John 20:24–29 KJV).
That part stayed with me.
Because how many of us are trying to reset our year, our health, our confidence, our calling, or our dreams, but we feel a little like Thomas in that room?
We are not trying to be rebellious or negative.
We are just tired of hoping and not seeing anything yet.
Sometimes you need more than someone saying, “Just believe.”
Sometimes you need a reminder you can see.
But because a visual reminder can help your heart wake back up.
Let’s make this very clear.
The FUTURE YOU magazine cover is not about manifesting a dream life or pretending your future is guaranteed. It's also not about creating a pretty picture and calling it progress (I'm guilty of that!)
It is a visual anchor to help you slow down and ask better questions.
What still matters?
What needs to be adjusted?
What needs to be released?
What have I been avoiding that still keeps tugging at me?
What would the woman I am becoming need from me now?
That is very different from fantasy.
Fantasy helps you escape your life. Vision helps you participate in it.
Fantasy says, “Wouldn’t that be nice?”
Vision says, “What needs to change today?”
That is the difference.
And that is where this midyear reset gets powerful.
When we work from the end in mind, we are not only asking, “What do I want to accomplish by the end of the year?” We are asking, “Who do I need to become to steward that well?”
Because the woman who reaches the goal usually has different rhythms than the woman who feels stuck today.
She makes different choices, protects different things, and tells herself the truth faster. She stops negotiating with the same distractions and stops waiting to feel confident before she shows up.
She may still feel nervous or still have doubts and days she would rather hide. But she has learned how to move with God anyway.
That is the real reset. A return to vision and stewardship. And a return to the woman God is forming in you.
I had this happen in real life.
In a previous episode, I talked about scheduling quarterly emails to yourself. It is one of my favorite little practices because it lets past-you check in with present-you.
And I got one of those emails.
There were goals in that email from January I had completely forgotten about because life had taken a different pace than I expected.
So now I get to ask:
Does this still matter?
Is this something I still feel called to steward?
Or is this something I need to adjust or release because the season has shifted?
That is such an important part of a midyear reset.
Working from the end in mind does not mean dragging every January goal into December just because you wrote it down.
It means being honest enough to ask what still belongs in this season.
Before you create your Future You magazine cover, choose one goal or dream that still matters.
Make it small enough to start and clear enough to measure.
Do not choose “get healthy.” Choose: “Walk for 20 minutes four days this week.”
Do not choose “write my book.” Choose: “Write for 20 minutes after breakfast.”
Do not choose “be more confident.” Choose: “Show up on camera once this week.”
That one clear answer will help you create a stronger Future You image because now you are not asking AI to make something random and pretty.
You are bringing it the dream, the direction, and the woman you are becoming.
And when you see the image, let it remind you why that one faithful step matters.
Your future self is not standing at the end of the year with a clipboard, tapping her pen, wondering why you did not perform better. She is asking you to stop abandoning the next faithful step.
That may be a walk.
A glass of water.
A page written.
A conversation.
A prayer.
A video posted.
An appointment scheduled.
A room cleared.
A boundary kept.
A dream taken seriously again.
The step may look small from the outside.
But obedience often does.
And by December, those small faithful steps may be the very things that built the bridge between the woman who felt stuck and the woman who kept becoming.

Bring the goal that still matters.
Bring the dream you almost dismissed.
Bring the version of you that is tired of waiting for perfect conditions.
Then post your cover in the group and tell us the one faithful step you are choosing.

A midyear reset is a chance to pause halfway through the year, look honestly at your goals, and decide what still matters. It is not about shaming yourself for what did not happen. It is about adjusting your focus and choosing one faithful next step.
You may feel behind because your January goals no longer match the pace or demands of your current season. Sometimes goals need to be recommitted to. Sometimes they need to be adjusted. Sometimes they need to be released for now. Feeling behind is not always failure. Sometimes it is an invitation to pause and listen.
The Future You magazine cover is a visual reset tool created with an AI prompt. You upload a photo, add the goals and identity theme that matter to you, and create an editorial-style magazine cover of your end-of-year self. The point is not to create a perfect image. The point is to see where you are going more clearly.
Not in the way I teach it. This is not about asking AI to predict your future or trying to manifest a fantasy life. It is about creating a visual reminder that helps you pray, reflect, ask what still matters, and choose a faithful next step.
Ask yourself which goal still tugs at your heart even after the year has taken a different pace. If the goal still feels connected to your health, calling, confidence, obedience, relationships, or purpose, it may be something to steward in this season.
Look at the image and ask what one faithful step your future self needs from you now. Then choose something small and measurable. A good next step is clear enough to do this week, not vague enough to avoid.
